My Story

Born and raised in Iran, I have always been passionate about helping others so they can feel their absolute best and achieve their aspirations. In 2012, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Tehran. After completing my bachelor’s, I saw the great need for a center for adolescents, which led me to co-found the first adolescent center in Iran, which helps teens to this day with concerns such as trauma, sexual abuse, depression, and relational challenges.

Driven to expand my knowledge and learn more to help my clients, I moved to Canada to pursue my PhD in Psychology. After arriving, I dove deeper into traditional therapies, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Couples Therapy, and more. However, I noticed a crucial gap when working with clients.

Many of my clients were able to feel better, but not many of them felt lasting changes after engaging in traditional psychotherapy. Additionally, some of them even struggled with separating themselves from their trauma, leading to disconnections with their identity. In the winter of 2024, I learned about Internal Family System (IFS), Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, and Ketamine Therapy. The results from these therapies alone opened my eyes to how much they could help my clients.

Clients who were stuck soon found ways to overcome their struggles, whether it be trauma, relational troubles, or depression and anxiety. They were able to separate their identity from their trauma, leading them to feel even more at peace with who they are, even carving out a new understanding of themselves that empowered them for the future. Many of them even were able to reduce their medication use and stop their psychotherapy sessions after several months. The impact of these therapies was mind-blowing, and I knew that I had stumbled upon something compelling! As a result, I began to integrate these therapies into my sessions and still provide these services for the couples and individuals that I see in my office each and every week.

Today, I work in Toronto with clients from many backgrounds, supporting and guiding them to reach their goals one session at a time. With over a decade of education in psychology and seven years of experience working as an international therapist, I love what I do and craft treatment plans suitable for you and your needs.
